This site was created to help our family members research their genealogy. Although the title is the "The Newmans of Virginia" this site includes the Taylors, the Bentons, the Washburns, the Lewis's, the Prudens / Johnsons (thanks to Charlie Johnson), the Monells (thanks to Harry Monell) and others. Much of the original Newman research was done by NG Newman Sr. and Howard Newman.
This collective and cooperative repository of family data, as presented herein, is by no means complete and most certainly contains some errors.
